Changes in Occupancy Belong Beside the Totals

A home’s use can change without a new appliance.

Understand the distinction

More time spent at home, visitors or a different household routine can alter the tasks performed in a reporting period. A consumption change should be considered alongside these circumstances. The records do not automatically isolate one technical cause.

Put it in your home notes

Add a short private context note for substantial changes in routine. Avoid recording unnecessary personal information about other people. When reviewing a trend, use those notes to formulate questions for an assessment, not to claim certainty about the source of every difference.
